25 Random Things About Me...

Ok, so this morning I finally post "25 Random Things About Me" on my Facebook. I thought I was going to get out of it but I was "tagged" by several people to do so. I thought since I enjoyed reading their post so much, why not post my own. So here is mine:

1. I am a stay at home mom and love every minute of it!
2. I would love to have a green thumb! Grow my own herbs and vegetables! But instead I have a black thumb and had even once molded artificial fruit. Every time my husband and I go buy flowers to plant in my flower bed (which he calls a graveyard), he say he can hear the plants screaming “Don’t kill me, please don’t kill me”! This hurts my feelings, but I know it’s true.
3. I dislike Elvis very much, not him as a person but the music. "Blue Christmas" causes mental anguish! For that matter, I don’t like any song with the word blue in it!
4. I pro-Life.
5. I Love to digital scrapbook and blog about my family and other fun little things.
6 Have an obsession with pens and paper.
7. Had a very negative outlook on everything until I met my husband. Now I am so positive about everything (or try to be)
8. I LOVE old TV shows like "Make Room for Daddy", "The Patty Duke Show", "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis", "Grace and Allen" and so many more. I think life should be that innocent again. I was a Nick at Night junkie!!!
9. I am allergic to vanilla. Only me.
10. Love to organize things, but I am NEVER organized!
11. I believe there is a reason for everything!
12. Learned more from reading than I ever did in High School! (I don’t remember learning anything in high school!)
13. Never EVER, tried drugs, which is odd considering I was around it a lot during my teenage years. I am very proud of that fact!
14. I am very conservative but will never understand someone’s hatred for someone who was gay. I feel like that is an automatic label on me when I tell people I’m conservative.
15. I was once told I was a profit by a preacher because I forced him to see a doctor because he thought he had heartburn.
16. I have been diagnosed with OCD. And it has nothing to do with germs! Except for the fact I will not wash my hand in a restroom that has dryers instead of paper towels. Honestly, why would you put your hand on a faucet that someone has touched after….well, you know. At least a towel can cover that up!
17. Has never had an argument with my husband to the point I wanted to leave, even for an hour.
18. Met my husband at Rio Bravo by sucking helium out of a balloon and singing the Smurf song. The waitress told me the guy at the next table would by me a drink if I would sing it again. So I did!!
19. I absolutely LOVE cold weather. I dread the heat during the summer.
20. I was a girl scout leader for 3 years. I loved all of my girls so much but quit because of some of the parents.
21. I would love to go back to school one day. I want to work with developmentally challenged. I have a love for their peacefulness and innocent hearts!
22. My dream is to live in New York, Alaska, London, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Australia and so many other places for one to two years each just for the experience.
23. I want to retire in New England, in an old white house with a wrap around porch, huge yard and pond in my back yard.
24. I love to make people smile!!! That’s my favorite!
25. I have a fear of writing letters or Thank You notes because I have been teased my whole life about my messy handwriting.
