Nicholas's Special Friend

Every Thursday night Nicholas has a friend to come over and play. Her name is Wendy and Nicholas just adores her! She has been coming for almost a year now and she has done so much for him to help him find his way...

...though you can't see her real well, she is there. Always on the floor playing with Nicholas. Come to think about it, I have never seen her sit anywhere else. She is so involved with him from the beginning of the session to the end, eye level. She brings him toys to play with to help him in his speech. Nicholas is delayed in language skills and T.E.I.S. sends Mrs. Wendy out to help him out. She has also been wonderful with us and telling us on what we need to know to bring him to a higher level. The book he has above is his favorite! The little bunny can be put on different pages of the book. The page Nicholas likes best is the car. He puts bunny in the car and and Nicholas will say "Bye, Bye bunny". He also puts him to bed and tells him "Nite, nite" and even has him kiss the mommy that is on the last page. He has progressed so much since she has come into our lives and we are so grateful for everything she has done for us!
