Erin Go Braugh!
Had a blast today. First Ashton, Taylor, Nicholas and I went to applebee's to Peyton's benefit breakfast where there were sooooo many people! It was a great turn out! I'll write more about that later. Then we followed Rick and Lisa to Houston County and met everyone in front of the electric department (Same meeting place for the past 25 if not more years) to watch the Irish Day Parade. There we met Robin, Holly, Michael, Dad, Gary, Wanda, Kristi, Tyler and Connor. It was a blast! I didn't see many people that I went to school with, except for Randy (gotta love those blue eyes!) Baggett and Tammy (just gets more beautiful with age!)Simpkins. Most everyone else was either Robin and Lisa's friends or random people I knew growing up. But still, it was great. What is so amazing is how the traditions stay the same, just bigger, in this small town! It's a true dedication to the people who live and/or grew up there. These ties are strong and I don't think will ever be broken. And what a beautiful day! It was cold at first but as the time passed it got warmer but not hot by any means! Very comfortable. I had the best time watching the kids getting candy of the streets that were thrown to them and Nicholas laughing while watching them. We did have to tell Connor to back away because he was getting to close to the cars. What that kid would do for a tootsie roll! Then there was a little argument over a purple necklace between the brothers, but hey, they were in the spirit of everything and got a little carried away. Plus it was a little side entertainment for us, not so much the boys bickering but Rick and Lisa's parental masterpiece at work. "Boy, what's your problem, Connor stop acting like a dummy, Tyler don't touch him again!" Always good for a laugh! But, as always, it was good to be with the family.
